I know it seems a little confusing, but the point being-Yes Jane Stewart is real-yes her agencies are legit-yes, there was an affiliation at one time with Elite.and NO she did not contact you via Skype. In 2004, Chosen Model Mgmt was opened in Chicago to be the uber-editorial agency of Elite Chicago-when Elite NY filed bankruptcy in 2004, and was sold to the current owner, Eddie Trump-Elite closed its men's board-so Elite Chicago moved all of their men to Chosen-all of the women from Chosen to Elite-creating the exclusive all men's agency, Chosen Model Management.Elite Chicago being all women-Stewart handling all commercial work (print and on-camera).With Elite Chicago being 27 years old, and Elite Atlanta being 21 years old-Jane Stewart purchased the shares owned by Elite NY for the 2 agencies and she became the sole owner. With that said, she chose not keep the name Elite and rebranded the agencies as Factor Women (Atlanta and Chicago) while opening Chosen for the men in Atlanta and Stewart Talent for the on-camera talent in Atlanta (there is an office in NY as well). In 1988 Elite Atlanta was opened in partnership with Elite NY as well. Elite handled all fashion (print and live events). She kept Stewart Talent (which handled all commercial print, artists and on-camera as well as kids). She then partnered with John Casablanca (who at the time owned Elite)-and they opened Elite Chicago in 1982. ![]() Jane Stewart is a real person. She originally found Stewart Talent in 1980 in Chicago. Sorry for replying so late.I wanted to clear some points up so that everyone is on the same page.First, Jane Stewart has never or would never contact anyone via skype or any other form of media and ask them to do anything inappropriate. It wasn't until a couple of months later did the agency realize that it wasn't me. I've had someone local to me call up an agency and have two new faces sent round. Also in the back of my mind is the castings pervert scenario, "it's a bra commercial luv, just whip off your bra for a sec please.". So for me it's a flag for starters that someone wants to assess somebody, using a $10 webcam. The only way you can truly assess a model and give accurate advice is in the flesh, face to face. Model agencies might ask for preliminary photos to be sent in, that is logical, but beginner models need to be aware, that in seeking advice, internet advice is limited in it's accuracy. I would be extremely wary of any MODEL agent wishing to interview/assess using any kind of digital platform at all. To confuse things, Elite had bad press/scandal in the UK in the past and changed name to Premier. ![]() For some reason, people choose this name when starting their own modelling projects. If I had a dollar for every time someone started a project called "Elite Model Management" I would be stinking rich. Real agencies assess people in person for two essential reasons. ![]() OK I could understand a personality interview, but still.
